The article deals with the problem of phonological combinability and allophonic variation of phonemes at the boundaries of meaningful speech units, which is one of the most complicated problems in modern Phonology and Phonetics. It investigates phonological and phonetic laws of segmentation of the speech flow. The article also presents the results of a complex experimental phonetic study.
